Pressure-Reducing vs Pressure-Restricting Valves: What’s the Difference?

In fire protection and water distribution systems, maintaining safe and controlled pressure is critical for both performance and safety. Two commonly used devices for managing pressure are pressure-reducing valves and pressure-restricting valves. Although they may appear similar, they operate in very different ways and are used for different system requirements.
